BTS products

Since 2013 BTS - acronym of Bangtan Sonyeondan - have slowly made their way up to the fame road, reaching veteran idols like Big Bang, and even surpassing them!
One of the few artists that really broke into the American Market, BTS have one of the widest fandom and a lot of collaborations with brands. We thought about making a list of products made in collaboration with BTS that you can actually purchase in South Korea using our service

VT x BTS Cushion

The Cosmetic brand VT, famous for their cushions, decided to release a cushion in collaboration with BTS. There were two versions, the black one and the white one. Both came with poster, special cards and stickers to personalize your compact case!

VT x BTS Toothpaste

2 Jumbo toothbrush and toothpaste were released, obviously one set in black and one in white. The set comes with a beautiful box with the picture of our favorite guys, plus more postcards for you. The set is still available!

PUMA BTS  Court Star

Puma jumped on the wagon on the international brands collaborating with BTS. This time they made them sign two shoes, obviously black and white as well. They are still on stock, but they are a bit pricey. Some clothes are also part of the collection; there are hoodies and T-shirts, with the logo that recalls "Spring Day".

LINE x BTS

From T-Shirts (that are in American Sizes) to dolls and collectibles, Line made our guys draw some cartoon characters and made them into cute dolls and stickers that we can carry around with us. The key chain are especially cute!
Did you know that each character has been made and named by each member of BTS? Our favourite is Koya, Rapmon's doll!

MEDIHEAL x BTS

Those are surely a huge hit in Korea. The skincare brand Mediheal has partnered with BTS to give us four types sets:  hydrating, brightening, moisture barrier, and soothing skin. Each mask is divided in four sets with different styles. PDF Mask: stands for pure derma factor and it's A medicated face mask specifically formulated to heal and soothe irritated, troubled skin.D.NA Mask (like their song) stands for defense natural aquaring proatin mask.
W.H.P Mask: stands for Whitening And Hydrating Power Mask. N.M.F Mask: Stands for natural moisturizing factor. Last one is the Tea Tree mask featured in each set.

JSMD Bulletproof Boy Handcream

Various sets (a black one and a white one) were launched, and went soldout in few weeks! While we wait for some new handcreams that will actually smell like them, read on for some more news and interesting articles on our blog!

8 "Weird things" in korea

If you come to Korea for a small trip or a relatively small amount of time, you really have to be aware that there are some things that might be considered"slightly" weird for western people. While if you decide to live in Korea for a longer period of time you will sure encounter bigger differences and get used to this, we thought it could be fun to introduce to you some of things that are common only in Korea!

Western Music is non-existent
Well, not really non existent...it depends from the place where you go. But as a foreigner living in Korea, I noticed that I'm exposed to korean music more than western music, to the point that I don't even know what's the new music in my Country.

Everyfood has a "chain" or a "brand"
The first time I ordered chicken with a korean friend I was asked "so what BRAND do you like?". For me brands are Versace, Luois Vuitton or whatever... but in Korea I soon found out that there are brands or Chains of restaurants almost for every style. There are several coffee shop chains, several sangyeopsal o Takgalbi restaurant chains....there is even a famous Only Mandu Chain here in the Mapo Area (Mapo Mandu, by the way...I really love it.). Some chains are so famous they even have sponsored testimonial! For example, Kyochon, a famous chicken wings brand, has Lee Minho as testimonial.

Convenience store everywhere opened 24/7
I'm sure that every Country has their 24/7 open shops or store, but the thing is, in Korea they just are EVERYWHERE and at a walking distance from one another. They not only sell food and snacks, but also random stuff as utensilies, stationery, beauty product, complete meals, elechtronic devices and they often have a snack/dining area to cook your meal! One thing that I love is that you can buy premade cups with ide and a a small tetrapack bag with something to drink, then put it together and...voilĂ , you have your drink! Just in case it's past midnight and coffee shops are not open....

Toilet Paper
You know Kitchen Towel? Kleenex? disponsable tissue? Well, koreans know them too, but everywhere you go you will probably find toilet paper instead of everything else. Why? If you think about it, Toilet paper is...still paper.

Water and Side Dishes are free
Wherever you go, whatever you order...you will receive kimchi, a soup ans some other small plates with vegetables or fermented stuff. Those are called Banchan and they're all free. Always. Together with Water, that it's mostly self-service.

Toilets
Public Toilets in Korea are clean and free, most of the times. Specifically, Subway station's toilets are definitely cleaner than any western toilet I've ever tried. Plus, they have a help button, bag hanger and, sometimes, a sound for when you do your more "rumorous" stuff to cover the bad sound. The only downside is that not everyone has toilet paper in it.

Forks and Knives
Forks and Knives are a problem. I live here and finding a good sharp knive for my house was a huge problem. In restaurants is extremely rare to find a knive, while you can still easily ask for a fork to the stuff.

Pedal
What is Pedal? It's basically Delivery. You call the place or use a app and order food. What's so special, you will ask? Well, in first place they can deliver anything at whicever time (even 3am) and whichever place (I once got delivered chicken in the middle of a park, yo!). In second place, if you order things to your house, they will be delivered with real plates and real culterly! Once you're done, you don't have to wash them or throw them away, just put them back in the bag and leave it outside. The Delivery Guy will come back to get them.

Have you ever heard of a hunting bar?

Have you ever heard of a hunting bar?

No, we're not talking about anything related to animals; the hunted prey is definitely not an animal! What if we tell you that in Korea you can find places where you can actually go for the specific purpose to find a girl/a boy?

South Korea is very famous for the high pressure that they put on dating. For the purpose of finding your soulmate there are sogetings, literally real blind dates organized by friends or family. Since the clock is ringing, you really have to find someone... But what if you just want to have fun, or if the friends introduced to you until now where kind of a flop?
Beside the classic 1:1 blind date, a (relatively) new way to meet people is going to specific places called "Hunting bars" where you aim to find someone to spend your night with in first place, then "maybe" your soulmate. To sum up, you basically go there to meet someone.

Hunting Bar have been around for a lot, but recently. because of Korea lifestyle and because young koreans want to have fun to relieve the stress, these places have become bigger and more common to find. If you go in an university area, you will easily find them. They're definitely easy to spot, considering that the names don't leave anything to the imagination. But how do they work?

To enter, man and women do two different lines. Then Girls only have to sit, chit chat and wait while drinking and eating. Actually, girls are really treated like queens, because it's up to the guy to approach the girl and ask them to join their table for a drink. in the more expensive ones it's the waiter to ask to the table on the behalf of the guys. The guys have to give a paper to the waiter with the number of the table and he will be their Cupid! There are 50% chances that the girls will accept; if not, next table!
You can try your luck and accept/refuse as much as you want. And when you find "your soulmate", as many advertisement of the hunting bar say, "you enter in one and leave in two".

And you guys? Do you want to try a "Hounting Bar" while in Seoul?
Our Suggestion is looking for hunting bar in Hongdae, few stops away from Ehwa (both on the green light).
